The Horse & Stables is a well-located, reasonably priced hostel located in London that's perfect for those traveling to see the sights of London as well as experiencing the city as a local!

The Location

The Horse & Stables is less than a minute from the Lambeth North Tube station, making it quick and easy to hop on to explore all different parts of the city. Also nearby are great restaurants on Waterloo Road. The pub downstairs is also a great spot for a pint (no walking needed!) A good restaurant within walking distance is The Fire Station. If you're looking to start your day with sightseeing, a quick walk over to the Westminster Bridge will take you to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey! It's an easy way to start a fun day in the city of London.

Rooms and Bathrooms

The private rooms at The Horse & Stables are spacious and clean, allowing guests to settle in for their stay and feel comfortable as well as safe with a room key code on each door. The rooms are also above the pub but the noise of the pub is not an issue at all -- some rooms do face the street, which can be noisy for some but may also lull others to sleep. There is free Wi-Fi as well as lockers available to lock up valuables.

The various shared bathrooms are somewhat clean and maintained, but guests are often forced to wait to use the showers -- morning time is usually the busiest. Guests must also bring their own toiletries, but endless fresh towels are available by request -- just ask the staff. Some guests may not enjoy the shared bathroom situation, but if most of your day is spent exploring the city, it's a minor inconvenience.

Common Spaces

There is not a designated common space for the hostel, besides the pub downstairs where free breakfast is served to guests -- additional food and drinks are fifteen percent off for guests as well. It serves as a nice area to meet other guests and enjoy a meal before heading out for the day.

• On Exiting the station; turn right and cross the junction. The Horse & Stables is situated on your right hand side just after Costa Coffee.
