The town is about halfway between Vancouver and Jasper and can easily be reached by car or bus.
Though Clearwater is a small town, its commercial centre is expanding. Clearwater now has a couple of supermarkets, some good restaurants, shops and a good visitor information centre. Aside from the provincial park, Clearwater also is in close proximity to many historical and heritage sites. The town is the largest in the North Thompson Valley, making it the ideal place to base yourself and explore the surrounding area.
There are many accommodation options in Clearwater, something for each budget and traveler type. Whether you are looking for a log cabin, apartment, guesthouse, hostel, camp or RV site, Clearwater will have it. Clearwater hostels are amongst the most budget-friendly, particularly for solo travelers. Clearwater hostels provide a clean environment, comfortable beds, complimentary wifi and a relaxing vibe. Not all hostels in Clearwater will provide breakfast, so keep in mind that there are a few restaurants in the town when it’s time to refuel.
