Looking for budget stays in Temagami? This section is designed to save you time, money, and unnecessary stress. We've got insider tips to help you find affordable hostels and the cheapest places to stay in Temagami.
Temagami is a lovely town located on Canada's longest street, offering some of the most pristine natural beauty for which Canada has come to be famous. Old-growth pine forests, crystal clear waters, and breathtaking snow can be seen for miles around.
The biggest attraction is the town's Fire Tower, which is one hundred feet high and sits on a hill over four hundred feet tall. The tower has a small entrance fee, which includes entrance to the White Bear forest biking and hiking trails, interpretive center, viewing platforms, and picnic areas. From the top of the tower, viewers can experience up to forty kilometers of stunning nature. Old logging and mining sites can be seen with the help of plaques and guides. The guides themselves are great resources to answer questions regarding the history and culture of the region as well as the local flora and fauna.
Other attractions in the area are just as enjoyable. Visitors can easily find themselves lost in time as they explore Finlayson Provincial Park in both summer and winter. There are several public marinas and boat launches which offer guided and self-guided boat rentals. It is highly recommended to look up local fishing and boating regulations before departing.
Temagami hostels are well within the town's borders and amenities are within walking range. A car however is required to get to and from the town as there is no bus service. Temagami is far from major population centers and offers a great opportunity to escape back to nature.
