This section is dedicated to take away all your "I wish someone had told me that before I went!" experiences. This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in Lovina Beach.
Lovina Beach is a beautiful city located in the north of Bali island, in Indonesia. Lovina Beach is the perfect spot to discover more about the north area of the island and the volcanic places nearby. Lovina Beach is divided into six small villages –- Temukus, Kaliasem, Kalibukbuk, Banyualit, Anturan, and Tukad Mungga. Kalibukbuk is the place to stay -- all the tourist facilities, restaurants, cafes, and accommodation are here. The best way to reach Lovina Beach is by car or shuttle bus, from every part of the island. You can easily reach Ngurah Rai Airport (the main airport in Bali) from different parts of Southeast Asia, on a regular basis.
In Lovina Beach you can go dolphin watching –- you can join a tour that takes around two hours (you can arrange it directly with the boat driver, or in your hostel). Lovina Beach is also well known for its clear visibility and transparent waters, so snorkeling and diving are also popular activities (you can take your Padi Course, or join in a diving tour in the local diving schools). You should also take a day to visit the amazing Brahma Vihara Ashrama, a Buddhist monastery located in Dencarik, a city near Lovina Beach. From this temple, you can also visit the hot springs and the marketplace located in a village called Banjar Tega.
If you have time, you should also visit the only national park in Bali -- Bali Barat National Park, which is only about twenty kilometers from Lovina Beach. It has a lot of bird species to see and natural beauty, but its main attraction is Pulau Menjangan, an amazing place to go snorkeling and diving.
There are not so many hostels in Lovina Beach, (the main accommodation is typical guesthouses). So, in high season you need to book your Lovina beach hostels in advance to assure vacancies.
