Heading to the East from Ratagan, after a short ride, you will reach Loch Ness, another mysterious place of the Highlands. Here, according to the legend, there is a monster inhabiting the lake. Although many visitors arrive at the shores of the lake in an attempt to get a glimpse of him, most of them have to make do with looking at his statue at the Visitor Centre and imagining the times gone by at the marvelous ruins of the Urquhart Castle.
