This section is dedicated to take away all your "I wish someone had told me that before I went!" experiences. This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in Krabi Town.
Krabi is an amazing place on the southwest coast of Thailand, a perfect place if you want to escape from crowded spots full of tourists and relax on white sand beaches and turquoise waters.
In Krabi you will find a good variety of shops (internet cafes, gift shops, laundry, and massage centers), cafes, nice restaurants, and a few pubs and discos. During your stay, you will have the chance to do a lot of activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, rock climbing, rafting, elephant riding, and kayaking. Take one or more of the tours available and visit the islands around like Koh Poda (an amazing island with beautiful landscapes -â the color of the water and sand make you feel like you're in paradise). The tours in Krabi are in a good value for money, but don't forget to bargain when booking.
The best way to arrive to Krabi is by boat, making the Phuket/Phi Phi Island/Krabi route (most know itinerary in this area). You can start with the crazy lifestyle of Phuket and Patong Beach, then stay a few days in the relaxing Phi Phi Islands and visit the beautiful Maya Bay (the location of the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio), and end your trip in the quiet city of Krabi. The boat is not expensive, and most times you don't need to book in advance.
There are a lot of hostels in Krabi, you only have to choose the accommodation that fits your preferences. Krabi hostels are simple but cheap and the right place to meet another people and share some stories.
