This section is dedicated to take away all your "I wish someone had told me that before I went!" experiences. This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in Miami Beach.
Miami Beach is one of the best places to visit if you like beaches, nightlife, sun, and sports. Not surprisingly, all Miami Beach hostels are located near the sea. If you go there in the high season, be sure to book your hostel in advance (maybe even a week ahead), especially if you are a bigger group. Unlike other cities, Miami Beach hostels are not very likely to have many available beds if you hope to find a place on the spot.
If you arrive in Miami at the Miami International Airport, there are a lot of options to get to your chosen hostel by bus or other public transportation. Just be aware that there is no night public transportation and going by taxi is very expensive, even if you are in a group of several people.
All Miami Beach hostels offer similar prices with a few exceptions and are not very far from the beach. Also, some hostels are quite liberal and promote themselves as party places, so choose one of those if you're there to party. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, than look for a quieter hostel.
Practically, you have excellent flight options to anywhere in the USA from Miami. If you have a little extra time, we recommend taking the Silver Service train to New York and enjoy the picturesque journey
