Da Nang (Đà Nẵng), Vietnam, is a bustling and frantic coastal city in central Vietnam. A new international airport has recently opened, increasing the city's popularity amongst international and domestic travelers. Da Nang is also the closest city to the charming and UNESCO World Heritage-protected city of Hoi An, which is only around thirty kilometers away.
Da Nang is also enjoying an increase in visitors, as it is currently investing lots of money and effort into glamourizing its coastal beachfront. Large distances of the beachfront are already fully occupied by large and luxurious hotels, with many more under construction.
Aside from sun and sand, the city also has a lot of offer. There are plenty of places and markets for shopping, especially at night and on the weekends. There is the Cham Museum and Asia Park, an amusement and water park. Da Nang also has a fair share of religious attractions scattered around the city. Most of them are impressively huge and can easily be spotted throughout the city. The most popular ones are the Marble Mountains, Lin Ung Pagoda, and Lady Buddha.
Da Nang is also a great place to take care of any personal needs such as banking, health and dental, and postal errands, as there are plenty of banks, health and dental care facilities, and a large Vietnam Post in the center of the city.
Navigating Da Nang can be a bit difficult without personal transportation, as many attractions can not be reached by foot. But there are plenty of motorbike and car taxis for hire.
There are plenty of accommodation choices in Da Nang. Besides luxurious hotels on the beachfront, there are also plenty of hotels and guesthouses in the city core and around the beach area. There are also a handful of Da Nang (Đà Nẵng), Vietnam hostels in the city as well. These can be easily found on hostel-booking sites.
